Who are We?
Who are we?
She lost one on her son’s in a tragic accident. He was just 16-teen when he died.
She tells me the shock, pain and grief was beyond description.
During her healing journey she became a volunteer with the Hospice and Palliative Care organization.
Clair is a mother of one of my friends.
Although I new of her for quite sometime, fate had it that we have met face to face, for the first time, when she herself became a patient. I visited her regularly for about two weeks.
A few days before her condition worsened and there was fear and true concern for her survivor,
she shared with me this experience:
During the times when she volunteered with Hospice, she quite often sat by the side of a dying person.
On one occasion, after the person’s death, she stayed in the room and as she was praying, she placed her hand over the head of the deceased one.
Suddenly, through the crown of the person’s head warmth lifted up, passing through Clair’s hand.
‘What do you think it was?”
I asked her.
“ I believe it was the spirit “ she said.
I frequently ponder these questions:
- who are we?
- are we humans in a body?
- are we spirits?
- or are we spirits in a human body?
I think Clair’s testimonial helped me to find my answer.
Did it help you?.
